Adventure Racing World Championships

The Adventure Racing World Championships were held 8-18 November in the Shoalhaven area. The Striderm supported BMX Bandits finished 23rd outright and 2nd in the Men’s Team division.

The team reported:
“… one of the key reasons we enjoyed ourselves so much was that we kept our bodies in good shape. Talking to other racers, the number one factor that caused teams to implode were foot injuries. Hot spots that became blisters, blisters that got infected - and next thing you know you're at the hospital on anti-biotic drips to try and treat them...
We raced hard for five days and no one on our team got a single foot blister. Striderm makes great products - and we just wanted to thank you for partnering with us!
Congratulations BMX Bandits on their great performance; it was great to tbe part of the fluoro team for the race.

Striderm has joined with the GaleForce Running Squad as a corporate partner. Arising from this arrangement, GFRS principal, Chris Gale, invited Striderm Director, Geoff Rynja, to joing the Squad for a typical Saturday morning long run. Geoff took up this invitation in early March. It was a great opportunity to meet many of the squad members, firstly, to discuss their running aims and objectives, and, secondly, tell them about the Striderm story.

Bayside Runners and Walkers

Bayside Runners and Walkers meet every Saturday at a park in Victoria Point, Queensland for a 40-50 min run/walk along the lovely walking/bike paths. This is followed by a coffee and a chat at a local bakery. For members wanting to do longer runs, runs of varying distances are arranged. The long runs are scheduled so that members are back in time for the previously mentioned social gathering. For those who are interested, a 5k time trail is scheduled for the last Saturday of the month. This is the biggest local running clubs near the Striderm base. When we can, Striderm gets along to take in a run and chat with them.  See the attached picture of one of the bikepaths in Victoria Point.
